Charity Project

This year, the students of the grade 6 French class will be given the opportunity to raise money for charity.  In doing so, they will be able to learn the importance of doing good for the sake of others.  The class will be divided into 5 groups.  Through good works and good behaviour, they will earn points for their team, which will amount to money given to charity.  One point is worth one dollar.  Besides money being earned for charity, points can also earn rewards for students.  The group that wins the most points at the end of a two-week period gets a special treat.  Through this charity project, I hope that students will be motivated to excel inside and outside of class in good works.

Below, I list some of the ways in which students can gain (and lose) points for their team.

Ways in which students can gain points Points
Group listens attentively and is silent in class +1 point for the group
Students participate actively during class +1 point for the group
Student helps other student with their work or volunteers to help in the class +1 point for the group
Ways in which students can lose points Points
